Terms of service
-
Deposits:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on all accredited courses, including 1:1 mentoring and individual days of The Signature Series.
Your deposit confirms your booking and allows me to reserve your training date and prepare for your session in advance. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your training date (your deposit will be deducted from your remaining balance and total course fee).
Payment Methods:
Payments are currently accepted via bank transfer. Full payment details will be provided upon booking. A confirmation email/receipt will be sent once your deposit is received.
By securing your place on any of my courses, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Your place is only confirmed once your deposit payment has been received. Please let me know your preferred course dates when booking.
All course fees are non-refundable. Payment must be made in full prior to the course unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Full attendance is required to achieve certification. Certification is awarded based on competence in all course elements, not just attendance.
Any medical conditions, learning needs, or relevant information should be disclosed prior to your course so I can make your training experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. -
Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule, please notify me at least 14 days in advance of your course date. With this notice, your deposit and any payments made can be transferred to a new date (within 12 months of your original booking), subject to availability.
Cancellations within 14 days:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 14 days of your course date will result in the loss of your deposit. This is because your space has been held and short-notice resales are rarely possible.
Refunds:
Refunds are not offered under any circumstances. However, with appropriate notice (14+ days), your booking can be moved to an alternative date (within 12 months of your original booking), subject to availability.
Emergencies:
In the case of a genuine emergency within the 14-day period, such as illness or an accident, I may, at my discretion, transfer your booking to a future date. In these cases, you may be asked to provide evidence (e.g., a sick note or supporting documentation).
No-shows:
If you fail to attend your course without any prior notice, all payments will be forfeited, and the training cannot be rescheduled.
What if a course is cancelled by Gel by Megan?
In the unlikely event a course needs to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ll offer a full reschedule or refund.
Is there a dress code or safety guidelines?
Comfortable, clean clothing is perfect - I love seeing your personal style! Closed-toe shoes are recommended for practical work, as we’ll be using sharp tools, so you can stay safe while getting creative. I also recommend that you bring a hair tie with you, so that you can tie your hair back during your practical learning.
What happens if I’m running late?
Courses are small and personalised, so being on time really helps us make the most of your session. If you know you’ll be late, just let me know in advance so we can adjust the plan. Arriving late may reduce your hands-on practice time, and in some cases, we might not be able to cover everything needed for your certificate. If that happens, a follow-up session can be arranged (additional costs may apply) so you can complete the training fully.
Is there a minimum age or eligibility requirement for attendance?
Students must be 16 or older to attend any training. If you’d like to book Day 2 and/or Day 3 as a standalone course, you’ll need to already hold a relevant accredited gel polish qualification. To book a 1:1 mentoring session, you’ll need to provide evidence of all relevant qualifications - for example, a builder gel certificate if you’d like to focus on builder gel techniques.
Class Size:
Spaces are limited to 1-2 students per session to ensure personalised training and support. -
Can I take photos during training?
Absolutely! I encourage you to document your learning journey. If you share your work on social media, I’d love you to tag me so that I can see it (@gel.bymegan) - I love seeing your progress and celebrating your creations. During your session, I may capture some photos or videos for my own social channels. If you’d prefer not to be included, just let me know!
Can my work be used in Gel by Megan marketing?
I’d love to celebrate your achievements! With your permission, I may share photos of our time in the studio together, as well as your work once you’re qualified, on social media or website galleries. You’ll always be credited, and I’ll never post anything without your consent.

As your Educator, I am committed to ensuring that you are confident and competent by the end of your course. If more practice is needed, you’ll be invited to submit photo or video case studies after the training. Certification will be issued once the required standard is achieved
