Hi! I’m Meg, and I’m so happy you’re here!

I’m 36, married, and the proud mamma of my little dog Rupert. I love travel, photography, pasta, and coffee! When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me walking Rupert, at the gym, or exploring somewhere new with my camera.

I trained as a beauty and holistic therapist after school when being ‘just a manicurist’ wasn’t really a thing. After some travelling, I moved to Brighton for almost ten years, where I discovered my love for gel manicures. In 2019, I treated myself to advanced training at The Gel Bottle Academy in Brighton, started sharing my work on Instagram, and soon turned a creative outlet into a career. In 2021, after moving back to the Midlands, I took the leap to make Gel by Megan my full-time business.

My studio in Rugby, Warwickshire is my favourite place. I’ve always wanted the manicure appointments I offer to feel like more than just nails - my space is designed to feel safe and welcoming. Nothing makes me happier than seeing how different a fresh manicure can make my clients feel - it’s those small moments that I love most.

For me, it’s all about a clean, chic manicure - your nails, but better. Whether that’s a sheer, barely-there shade or a bold statement on a short nail, I love creating nails that feel timeless and effortless.

Alongside my client work, I’ve built a loyal community of over 78k followers on social media sharing my work and inspiration, and for five years, I worked as a brand ambassador for one of the world’s leading gel polish brands, the Gel Bottle Inc. This experience has given me a deep understanding of both product and industry trends, marketing, and building my own brand, which I can't wait to pass on to you so that you can do the same.
